Charcoal Sketch – Toy Owls

First sketch of the new year, inspired by the WetCanvas Artwork from Life forum and also Karen Margulis, who has started a blog of her daily sketches in her journal.

One of the items on the Scavenger Hunt from WC’s Artwork from Life forum was to sketch your favourite toy. I don’t really play with toys anymore *grin* but these were a gift last birthday from my very clever sister-in-law, who made them herself.

So, tomorrow I’ll add to my sketches and see if I too can create a habit of sketching from life everyday. It can only help my painting in the long run.
