Ceramics – Ritual Vessel – Finished

Last ceramics lesson I spent pretty much the whole three hours glazing my pot – and today it came out of the kiln.

I am really happy with the glaze I chose. I was unsure about it as the test tiles I did didn’t turn out the way I had hoped, but luckily one of the women in the class had fired her pot the week before with the same glaze as this so was able to see the results with this glaze before using it.

Some really interesting colours have come out on the surface and it looks aged, which is how it is supposed to be.

Now I just have to work out where I am going to keep it for the next 4 months until assessment time.
