Printmaking – Lino cutting complete – hand in sling!

After a marathon of lino cutting, I have completely cut out the work ready for class on Thursday.

I can’t wait to see how this prints up. I may need to do some minor refining once I see the print but I think most of the hard work is done.

Then it will just be to ink it up right and get an edition of 5.

I hope some of the cut marks will show up on the keys of the piano. I think they will add interest and movement. And fingers crossed the waves work out – they are an experiment based on Hiroshige’s style of waves from Japanese wood cut prints.

I’ll post a print of this after class on Thursday.
