Printmaking – Lino cut print success!

All the time I spent carving out the lino was worth it. I took the lino into class today to test print and see if there was any further carving needed to finish the print. The test print was fantastic. I didn’t need to make any changes and went straight to work on the edition of 5 I needed for assessment.

I have also hand printed an edition of 3. The effect of the hand printing gives it an almost Japanese woodblock feel, which I love.

I am really happy with the way this has turned out – not at all what I started with, but I am thrilled with where the creative impulse led me.

Now I just have to come up with a title for it. Any suggestions?
