Painting: Picasso-esque – is that a word?

I continued working on the experimental painting today that is the last project for Painting class. We hand everything for assessment on Friday 25 November – not long to go now.

It has certainly been an interesting painting to work on so far, if not my favourite one. We have been mixing tertiary colours, and as I have used a limited palette, it has been fun to see what colours I can come up with. Ultramarine blue, Burnt umber, Burnt and raw sienna, yellow oxide, orange and white are the colours I have worked with.

There is not a lot more to do on this, mostly in the lower right corner of the painting.

I don’t think this style of painting is something I will rush to do again, but as I said, it has been an interesting experience.
