Oil Pastel Sketch: In the Garden

In the Garden

OIl Pastel Sketch (22cmx20cm), on Canson Mi-Teintes (green)

Had some fun this morning with my oil pastels whilst I waited for the laundry to wash, and in between hanging the clothes on the line.

This is drawn from a reference from WetCanvas Oil Pastel Studio Forum. They have a monthly challenge and I liked the photo.

And then this afternoon a friend and I went to an art show, held by two artists, Julie Simmons and Frank Hodgert, at Castlereagh. It was great to see their studios and catch up with them both again this year. They both specialise in watercolour but work in other media as well. It was a beautiful afternoon and looking at art and studios was a great way to get out and enjoy the day.
