Mississhippi's Madness

A place to share my creative pursuits

Twas the night before Christmas (or the lamest blog post title of all time)…

Christmas Eve here in Oz.  We went to see Santa tonight, who visited a friend’s house this evening before he gets ready for his trek around the globe. My daughter was very excited.

At least we have seen some sun today. Was beginning to think that winter had headed downunder early this year.

Christmas Day will be at my brother’s house. Everyone brings some food to contribute to the Christmas Feast, so no one person is preparing the whole meal. I am salading this year (is that a word?) and paying for half the organic/chemical free ham (which really means very yummy!). Seafood and roast turkey round out the proteins, and there will be trifle and pavlova for dessert (very Australian!).

Thank goodness we no longer have the roast for lunch on Christmas Day. It is usually too hot to cope in the house what with the heat outside as well as inside from the ovens. But this year we could have probably gone the hot meal, the way our weather has been. 🙂

But now it is time to head to sleep so Santa can come and visit. We will have one very excited little girl in our house in the morning (and some big kids too!)

So, to all a good night, and…

Happy holidays! Seasons Greetings! Feliz Navidad!

(Hope there are some art supplies in them there packages! lol)
