Craft: A new hat

It is the middle of summer here – so why am I knitting a winter hat? Crazy, isn’t it! Luckily, our summer is more like Spring at the moment, so it is not too hot to knit.

A friend’s daughter is heading off to London for six weeks training for a new job, and at this time of year it is almost impossible to find winter gear, so I offered to knit a hat, and donated an overcoat to the cause.

My thanks go to Rachel at Cornflower Blue Studio for a really easy to knit hat, that she calls the Go-To Hat. I had only recently purchased the wool to knit something for my friend, so I used some of it for her daughter instead.

When I don’t get the chance to draw, I knit!
