Mississhippi's Madness

A place to share my creative pursuits

If I’m going to continue to take macro shots, I think I need a better camera! Not bad for a Canon Ixus 970IS 10mp pocket camera.

  1. Lovely shades of green!

I don’t have a macro lense, but use the zoom lense for my macro shots. You can do the same on a “point & shoot”, just have it on the highest zoom level, and use the old manual “walk back & forth” method to find your right focal length.

    LOVED your swan shot!

    • Thanks Cindy. I have macro on this Canon camera and I love it. I had a macro lens on an old SLR Olympus and I loved using it, so I think when I get my DSLR I’ll have to get a macro lens.

I was really happy with that swan shot. I know you have a lot of black swans over in WA, but I hadn’t seen too many over here in Sydney, even though I know they are around.
