Digital Art: Tux Paint – Digital art for kids

My daughter had me download Tux Paint today – she has been home sick, and she wanted to use the program. She uses it at school and has mentioned it quite a few times.

Tux Paint is a free, open source software aimed at kids between the ages of 3-12.

We had some fun playing with it this afternoon. Here is a sample of our work using the Kaleidoscope option (what fun!)

What a great way to introduce digital art to kids.
