Cooking: Cake Pops anyone?

Things have been quiet around my place the last couple of weeks as my whole family succumbed, one after the other, to the flu.

But, I had one excited daughter, as it was her birthday. A part of this exciting time is taking cakes to school to celebrate with her friends. And silly me, found some cake pops tins and bought them, so they are what I had to make.

The night before ‘the day’ I spent about 5 hours in the kitchen mastering cake pops! Or at least trying to. It was an experience.

They worked out fine and 36 cake pops and 15 cup cakes later, including melted chocolate for the coating, I was finished.

They weren’t perfect but that tasted really good.

I’ve got to get back to painting… not as hard to do!
