Drawing: Portrait of a child – WIP#2

Got back to the portrait today. Finished getting the drawing right and then started on the eyes…

Then got to work adding colour…

It looks scrappy right now, but as usual I started too light on the darks on the face, but I’ll get that right. I just didn’t want to go too dark as her skin is really quite pale.

I’m using some of the colours on her in the background as well, so that should keep it cohesive.

So after two hours work today, I’m pretty happy with the progress.
