A little bit of crochet

I’ve been working on a few crochet pieces over the last week or so. I’m still trialling yarns and sizes for market bags (I’m waiting to hear from my testers to see how the last two bags worked out), still making tote bags from my stash of worsted weight cotton and I am trying out some motifs which may end up as a bedspread for my mum.

I love this variegated cotton – I have a beanie I made in this a few years ago. I can’t get it anymore as the maker shut down

This has been made in 8ply cotton from Bendigo Woollen Mills – really beautiful cotton, probably too good to use for a shopping bag – using a 4mm crochet hook. It seems like a tiny bag so I’ll have to use it to see how much it stretches.

Some more 8ply Bendigo cotton for these. I found this motif in a book I was given for my birthday and thought it would look good joined together. I just have to block it and finish off the ends and it will look even better 🙂
