Welcome to Mississhippi’s Madness, a place where I share my creative pursuits and passions.
I started this blog back in 2006 to share with a few friends the art I began to create when I started to go to art classes in the evenings when my baby was about 2 years old. This night class was my ‘mental health break’ from being a stay-at-home mum. I haven’t looked back since.
I continued my classes and increased the amount of time I spent painting and began to enter art shows, having some success with awards and sales.
In 2011, I completed a Certificate IV in Visual Arts at NSW TAFE. I came first in the course, which made the hard work so worth it. I loved the experience and the knowledge I gained in this very hands-on course and the friends I made along the way.
I’m still drawing and painting but also spending time with my family, and crafting in the times between.
I hope you’ll stay, have a browse and enjoy the work I have created in my personal pursuit of pastels, and the general creative fun I have with knitting, crochet, photography, other crafty things and my family.
Let the madness commence!
